Ebay getting stranger each day

one of my feedback from sale 3 days ago something like this -

great case/picture - only downfall is the rubber is slippery A++++++


and the amount of people paying and NOT uploading ANYTHING for us to print is just getting bloody stupid IMHO now

3 people all with low feedback (<20) have bought and payed, but uploaded nothing - have emailed them 3 times a day for last 3 days, today i just mailed back to say "FULLY REFUNDED as we cannot conclude sale due to no photo uploaded from yourselves".

and it looks like i got another one last night - emailed them last night - no reply - and again this morning - no reply

WHAT IS IT WITH PEOPLE ON THERE - WHY BUY A CASE YOU KNOW HAS TO BE PERSONALISED AND DONT UPLOAD ANYTHING TO PERSONALISE IT WITH :rolleyes:

fair enough some people work and have busy life style - but 3 days ?????

are you putting your email address in the messages ? if so the messages will be blocked as ebay in their wisdom no longer allow this

If you put random spaces in the email address and explain to the customer to delete the spaces it normally gets through.

Having said that, you can actually send pictures through their message system so either the customer can send that way, or you can create a picture that essentially is instructions on where to send the image.

dont even start me on that one brett - thats a bone of contention here, prob same as yourself as well !

just send message asking them to upload image for printing - sure we are getting the "where do i upload to" messages as well, when we went in and altered ALL our phone case listings with BIG GREEN writing - upload images to ******** :rolleyes: so we wouldn't get so many of those questions

haha ebay is crazy,

had one this week, a customer sent me a message saying "your ad said its a hard case but you have sent me a sticker!"

I dont sell stickers, then i message them saying it would be like flat like a piece of paper if it was a sticker.

They reply with oh sorry misunderstanding.

it gets worse mate, speaking to an ebay guy this week on a differnt issue i brought up the email thing he agreed it makes life difficult but it was to stop people offering to trade off ebay , but i can put my phone number in the message now i dunno bout you lot but if want to persuade a customer to deal direct with me i can do that easier on the phone than email.and then he tells me that having your email address in the description may also fall foul of the ebays 10 commandments........ go figure

i know your not kidding - we are STILL getting the same "where to upload image" :rolleyes:

now the bit i think is gonna be really stupid here if they implement the " having your email address in the description is not gonna be accepted", if this comes off and it is passed, think ebay are going to lose one hell of a lot of sellers in a very short space of time -

how in the hell are sellers of personalised products supposed to communicate with customers? the crappy message system which is not worth a dam with there stamp size pictures ?????

why are they squeezing out the little man on ebay ? the chatter over on there own forums aint pretty either.
there words - "yes we all moan about ebay changes but always adapt, but these new changes sweeping in and others to come in might just be the straw and camel" and thats not just 3/4 people saying that either over there.

concerning times ahead if you are a seller over there indeed :rolleyes:

For customers who don't sent pictures we email them using their paypal email address requesting the picture to be sent, once this email has been sent we send a message through ebay saying:

Many thanks for your order, we have just sent you an email, please respond to the email with your picture you would like on your Phone Case (or whatever product has been purchased) Alternatively if you have the picture on your phone you can send it to 07807~~~###

how about solution that iam using for months now??
I have a script on my web site. it is hidden admin script that will allow you to create events.
each event is a ebay auction. so you need to put ebay auction number or tittle. so when someone win or buy now from auction system kick off and is sending customised by you email and if you want it will send file.
instead of putting email address in ebay message you could do it this way. you could automatically send any file or PDF form with links for file uploading. this way everything stay nice and clean. anybody who bought icc of me know what i am on about.
