I would add to what John said, to make sure that the press is back to 180 before putting 2nd mug in - if you're in a cold room with equally cold mugs (working in an outhouse/shed/garage...), then you may need to wait for the press to reheat before the 2nd mug should go in. But I agree on starting the timer straight away when the mug is in. The heat and time set should take into account the temp fluctuations of the press when doing its job. Again, though, if in a colder environment with freezing mugs, you may need to up to press temp, so that it gets back enough temp while the mug is in.
