Re: Help needed please ..

Post by PersonalizedGiftz »

We have set up our Richo 3300n with sublijet r inks. My husband has followed the instructions and added all relevant profiles etc. I am using Adobe Elements 10. I am trying to print out text onto a bib and it doesn't seem to be bold and bright enough .. it kind of seems faded. I have done a couple of bibs using two different lengths of time but nothing seems to improve this .. any tips would be most welcome. Thanks Nikkie :)

You are printing onto sublimation paper and then heat pressing onto the bib arent you?

Do you know what fabric the bib is made from, is it 100% polyester or a polycotton blend, as the cotton wont take the dye?

Yes we are using sublimation inks and sublimation paper. Hmm they are cotton bibs ( same bibs i use for embroidery ) The company I bought them from state they are suitable for printing too ( they also sell bibs they print onto )
I shall need to go look for bibs suitable for this then as am looking to add to baby giftz i sell already. What can I use to check its all working ok that i may have in the home already? Could I try it on a bit of poly cotton fabric i have and what times and temps?

Print through powerdriver onto sub paper. The print does looks dull on the paper compared to 'normal' print. Make sure you print on the 'sub' side of the paper. As smo said the material needs to be polyester or a high poly content poly/cotton blend.

I would suspect not as bibs tend to be a toweling like material and the vinyl probably will not adhere very well...it will look bumpy/rippled.

Temp set at 190 degs
tried 60 secs and then 90 secs
paper was from coralgraph! ( cheapish one i think )

yep select the power driver when go to print

Yes the image looks dull on the paper before printed and printing on the white side of the paper

So basicly I don't have the correct bibs?
