if I go on your site there is no pictures on the pages to view, as it's not default opencart template I would say its something to do with your themes settings, do you have any extensions installed that work on product page

Hi we took the pictures off as they looked terrible. We've had a play around with the settings and got them looking acceptable, it's just a nightmare finding the time to work on it as we've got a mountain of year end accounts and customer orders to get through. Thanks for the help though I think you hit the nail on the head with the 500px x 500px max. :)

If you need some help with opencart, i can help a little bit

For the options in the pop-up window, i would ditch this, i have found people find this hard to see and just want all the options displayed in front of them, this also helps with your bounce rate :)

Also, your images look really poor in the slider, I see the original are poor even though there saved in PNG, are you upscaling them to 1000x320 as you have them shown?

@mattie i see your based in Sunderland, close to me

have a look at my opencart, http://www.wehaveany.com/shop/

this also has a custom html5 online designer built in so you can make live then buy

Yeah I know the slider bar is terrible as soon as I get some time will be changing it but completely over run with customer orders at the moment so just doing bits in dribs and drabs whilst things are printing. Steep learning curve as I've never used opencart before. We was using a free site generated by Yola before this but it was very slow and unreliable.

Just had a look at your site - very nice :)

Question though please - did you purchase the designer as an add on mod or get it custom made?
Also, when I tried the designer it let me add an image ok but no text - but this may be me as I have some firefox issues at the moment.

Yeah, been wondering about that small section. Want to make it as easy as possible and I think this is maybe a step too far. Aware images are crap, just wanted to get something on there asap and replace as I get decent ones. Stock images are a pain to find at decent res...have to take my own but that takes me forever :-)
