The other thing to consider, is if your business really takes off, you are going to find yourself turning more into a printer, than an artist/designer. What is your main love, and what do you see yourself doing long term.

If you buy in all the kit, then you will also be able to attract business from other designers needing printing.

If things go well, you may be better off getting someone else to do your printing, to leave your time and skills to designing, also looking at licensing your design work to other producers.

There is a new garment on the market made by Gildan. Its called the 42000 Core Performance and list price is £1.95 for white.

DTG's are brilliant and there are some very experienced users on here who will be able to help you with your choices

Just got off the phone with the guys at BTC very very helpful and they have set me an account up, looks like that new range has some nice colours bright enough for toned sub prints for me as well so thats a bonus!, i am also going to try some dark print transfer sheets next week, just curious how they will look. Sorting the vinyl cutter out, just going for a cheap generic for now to have a play with before i goto a printer/cutter system.

The tees i have used are good quality and have been told very comfortable to wear, but the price is a little too much comapred to the btc shirts.

I will post up some more pictures after i get my initial samples of the new tees in and printed.

Thanks for all the help guys it is really appreciated and i only hope i can offer help in return at some point.

Hi John G

The Gildan tee is not billed as a sublimation tee but is 100% polyester. Its a new garment by Gildan in a range of colours and is priced far better than most sublimation tees out there. Have not tried it myself but if made by Gildan it is going to be pretty good and up there with the rest of them.

Apparently there is a bloke on here called Justin.... Never heard of him but apparently he is quite important and one to honour and obey unless you want "Cheeky Sausage" as your status

Cheers SG - took a look at the spec and I may get a few in as test samples but not if the stocks are that low

Justin showing you who's boss then ;-)

There was another company at P&P that had a new poly shirt that I thought was good but can't remember details. Brand might have been Sol..... something or other. The display had the champagne bar on it...... Which might be the reason why I cannot remember the name! Their shirt I prefered to Gildan and was cheaper still.
