Re: Adobe Color Printer Utility Photoshop CS6

Trying a new set up today and not getting decent colours.

I had a custom profile made and printed onto xpres paper. The colours look good on the sub paper which is strange, but there is a colour shift when it's printed onto the ceramic.

I followed the profiler's instructions to set it up in Photoshop, but CS6 doesn't allow 'No Colour Management'.

Is anyone using the Adobe Color Printer Utility and was it needed?

why you need no color management when printing ceramics? you should choice let photoshop handle colors and then pick your profile to print.

Yes I let photoshop handle the colours, chose my profile, then I was instructed to go into the Printer Settings and

"6. Under ‘Mode’ ensure ‘Custom’ is selected, then select ‘No Color Adjustment’ from the drop down menu - as when you printed the target chart.

Some printer set ups vary but look for a 'No Colour Adjustment' option.

Do ensure ‘No color’ under ‘Color Management’ is selected, both when you are printing the chart and when you are printing with the profile.

It's the Epson WP-4015DN.

I have the option of both ICM and No Colour Adjustment.

I've had a look at it again and I'm wondering if I have double profiled...

It's a bit late to fire up the press now to test this, but when you set up a New A4 document in Photoshop to print three transfers...do you have that set at Adobe 1998?

My choices would be Adobe 1998, my custom profile, or Don't Color Manage this Document.

I get different warnings depending on what file I want to print, so I reckon that it is down to the profile I assign to the A4 document when I set that up for the first time.
