Product Images for Websites
Re: Product Images for Websites
hi Guys,
just wondering where people get their images for products for their websites?
i have just set my site up, and i really do not want to be printing phone cases, mugs and Keyrings for the sake of it. (just seems like a lot of waste) does anyone have any ideas where i can get some free to use images like this? i have tried to be sensible and find images which are not copyright.
thanks
Ricky

I would imagine if you asked your suppliers they would allow it (most do in the promotional market). After all they will benefit.

Why would you considerate your images as a waste of blank??
I can see it in different light tbh...
1. it show the product it really is.
2. it show that you can actually print anything.
3. it show real quality of item you got for sale
so in my opinion your images can speek for your products. As I am not against stock photographs but do you really want your web site look same as 100 other ones?

yes its more of a waste of the blanks. (i know they dont cost a great deal) but with having just set up i could ideally not do with much more waste.
the idea would be to have a 'stock image' on the main screen of the phone cases and my own actually on the individual products

Take photo of plain blank, design your image, print out on paper and stick it to your blank with tape. Take another photo (same distance and angle) then in photoshop, highlight just the image and drag and drop onto the photo of the plain blank - adjust position, flatten and save as jpeg.
Take tape off and you still have an unprinted blank.
Great for ebay when your producing loads of different designs on the one type of blank - I do this for mugs, steins, coasters, t'shirts etc.
