abode photoshop or coreldraw
Re: abode photoshop or coreldraw
Hi
I am new so please excuse the question. I am setting up an online shop for sublimation printing, mugs etc.
I have adobe photshop elements 11 but am not sure if that is suitable for editing photos to add to mug templates etc.
Should i buy coreldraw or do i need another version of abode? Please advise which is best for beginer.
Thanks
Julie

Re: abode photoshop or coreldraw
They are two different programs and its very much like asking should I serve sandwiches or cakes with my afternoon tea
Photoshop is a bitmap based program suitable for photo editing etc etc.
Coreldraw is a vector based program suitable for line art drawings/charts etc etc.
For sublimation both will do the job, although PS is probably marginally better as the control on photo editing is better.
However if you are wanting to cut vinyl or use a cutter for anything else then you will need Corel or something that is vector based.

USING: Whatever it takes to get the job done...

I use photoshop for editing photos and coreldraw for designing and laying things out to be printed or cut.

I am with you there Mrs Maggot.
Being a bit blunt there is a hoofing great gonad of a clue in the names PHOTOshop, coralDRAW. They are like hands one left, one right. Some people are left handed, some right handed, and some ambidextrous. Some people manage perfectly well with just one. There you go, I was no help at all!
I suffer a "Mrs Maggot syndrome".

Janners thats a perfect way of describing what they both do, i must say i work with corel far more than photoshop and tend now to use the corelphoto programme as its easier with my corel brain than trying to remember 2 lots of doing things
