Re: Can anyone recommend stock control/inventory software

After todays end of year stock take and being out a bit on my spreadsheet i need a better way of keeping records of stock:frown:

What i would like is a stock control system, that can somehow link with website, ebay, and amazon.

At the minute, i have a spreadsheet and take off when i sell and add when i get more stock (manualy)
Since adding the sublimation side of things, its been getting more difficult to keep an exact track. (when i forget to update, or break/mess up one, replacements) so im looking for something auto.

barcode stock control is no good because sub items arn't barcoded.

What do you all use, or how do you do it?

Stock is taken care of in quickbooks accounting software - what software do you use to keep your books?

Yes, I was going to say QuickBooks or Quicken as I think its also called... or is that a completely different software?. Not sure exactly but I can say Quickbooks is very thorough... easy to set-up once you have added all your business info, etc.

I looked at quickbooks but i can only get a trial on the essentials version, and the stock control is in the pro version, and its £22 a month for min 12 mths, and im not paying for a year without looking at it.

I have a great excel spreadsheet that gives me reports, profit and loss, monthly summary, HMRC sheet, ect, so im happy with my bookkeeping side its just my stock control.

This one is recommended on UK business forums and has got some great feedback. Pretty cheap too. Only £29 for the small business edition.

hahaha... damnation...dave, I was just there too and this one was talken about quite a bit. They have been around for a few years developing the software. There is a free version to try... apparently it is also customisable if there is not enough to suit your needs. Can also be used with integration to an ecommerce site if you have one. Looks quite easy to use.... I might even give it a try .... .!

You can buy quickbooks pro outright at costco for around £120.00 for the newest version.

Think you just need to integrate some related ecommerce module like those offered at http://www.cs-cart.com or http://www.ipages.biz
or something similar. Otherwise, sooner or later you'll gone just crazy with the volume of data stored in your spreadsheet.
