Yes exactly like that when you look at it straight on it look good but when you look from an angle you can see that its not smooth.

any idea where i can get a silicon sheet from?

I would say for metal that it's more important to make sure your 'transfer' is completely dry, rather than pre-pressing the metal (I know there will be a very, very small amount of moisture in metal but it will be minimal compared to something like a placemat) - unless the metal is stored in a very damp place.

Once a print is done, hover your press over the print (not touching it - a few inches away just to dry the print out). Some conde videos also recommend this (and it works) as some papers take a lot longer to dry than others.

I pre warm these pieces then press with the metal up (opposite way to usual) I put sheets to and bottom and cover the press lower base with as smooth sheet, silicone etc. As little pressure add possible when closing the press.
