check out the sellers and business forums on ebay just now, man are they blowing a storm over there about all the new changes.
As for people, nicking your pics/text ect, you do know you can get a small script that can stop that ?
i have it on my new ebay store so no bugger can pinch my pics/text...as some lazy ass did last week:mad:, before we changed it all to new design.
Google it guys..

lot of sellers are saying "thats it, we are finished with ebay" - really ? aye right...tenner bet you still see the same ones moaning over there now, still trading away.
I dont blame them at all for moaning but no where else has the ready made customer base and SEO that ebay has.
Forget EBID, yeh its mega cheap, but mega cheap comes with hardly any punters to buy your stuff...so whats the point in listing 100+ items to get maybe 3/4 sales in a month, if yer lucky...Ebid aint NEVER gonna have the same clout as ebay has, even with all its faults, its still the number 1, maybe 2, next to Amazon for a selling platform.

the main worry over on ebay is the plain stupid DSR's...which can wipe a seller off the board and out of business without even as much as a goodbye if they get to low....no appeal, no excuses, NADA...your finished.
I sympathize with sellers that have been selling on there for like 5/8yrs + some a lot longer, then they get these stupid DSR ratings from some twat with half a brain who decides to spit the dummy, and thats there yrs and yrs of trading finished
we are not to bad as we newish and are overhauling our listings anyway, but for the big boys who have like - 1000/2000 + listings to change....poor brett on here comes to mind here:frown:, my heart really goes out to.
thats one hell of a lot of man hrs to change listings to conform to the new rules...really stupid

A script shouldn't stop people taking a screen grab and doing it that way.

no it will not stop them form doing a screen grab, but what most lazy ass sellers mainly want to right is - right click/copy/paste....they dont want the hassle of screen grab then off to photoshop to cut/alter ect....thats why they are nicking your pics and text brother...cause they cannot be assed doing any work for themselves....why make it easy for them

all the new changes ebay are bringing in this june and autumn regarding pictures, i take it is to make them more like Amazon
clean pics/white background with no links in pic, no borders 500pixels min width across the bottom.
and it gets worse - the shop fees are going up to £19.99 - and what ya get for that - ooooohhhh ahhhhh - 20 free listings....the usa ebay gets 120 if i,m right, we get 20...that sucks

Didnt see that bit :frown:

Yes they want to be like amazon, i realy dont understand that, ebay was good at what it sold, and amazon at what that sold, they were better than amazon until they started faffing about 5 years ago.

I hate amazon as a buyer, i find it more expensive and the few times ive bought from there ive had problems.

ebay.com everyone get 50 free listings a month and not 99p ones either but the FVF are including p&p, uk only charges on item (although will charged on p&p be if everyone has to offer free p&p for TRS)

from what i have read over on the ebay forums, most of the power sellers TRS ect, are NOT gonna bother with the free p&p...and also not bother if they lose there little badge....
its really dam stupid what they are doing - how can you combine shipping to customer when you offer free ( adding into price ) shipping ? - couple that with the royal mail hikes come april, its gonna make for some real interesting stuff on ebay i would think

I offer free p&p (keeps the p&p star at 5*) anyway so that bit makes no difference for me, i dont find it a problem.
If they bought lots, i give them some back via paypal. or offer them a choice of something else.

But the RM prices will affect some of my items badly, so i will just stop selling them once stock has run out. (That will give me time to judge if they will still sell)

Also the bit about offering SD and 1 day dispatch is a problem, with personalised items, but i cant realy see that many people wanting to pay £6.22 for SD.

I feel sorry for the sellers that sell lightweight but bulky cheaper items, i think they will be the worst hit.
This new ebay thing and the RM increases is a big double wammy though.

I agree ebid are crap but i wonder if with the new rules coming in if you will see a rise in alternative sites like ebid. Ebay are constantly moving the goal posts its only a matter of time before people say enough is enough im already thinking well sod jumping through hoops for my trs status . The picture changes are another joke and even the call centre staff cant get that right . IApparantly there is a meeting taking place today within ebay due to the high volume of complaints from people such as us lot regarding the new rules
