Re: Hen Night Sashes?

Post by AdamB »

Hi all,
I did a search for this but I miss be missing something?

Anyone have a link/contact (PM is possible) for blank hen night type sashes please?

I got a couple from ralawise on an order I had in the other week but they are quite expensive compared to what others sell them for printed - hence why I thought I must be missing something???

Any advice/help is greatly appreciated (as always)

Golden Finishes might be better priced (http://www.goldenfinishes.com/).

Alternatively there is nothing to them, when I have not managed to avoid doing them for a mate I have always purchased the ribbon on a roll and sew them once finished.

Ralawise/Pencarrie et al sell The Golden Finishes sashes as stock items. They ARE quite pricy, from memory about £1.50 + vat each blank in 10's - so it is impossible to compete with the ready printed ones from the cash n carry at about 90p each - that many sell for £1.99
We had a ribbon printer that could make the strip for about 80p a go but found it a faff. You can print vinyl onto satin ribbon - i think the widest is about 70mm which is a tad narrow for a good sash, anfd it only costs pennies per meter (buy from a florist cash n carry) - and staple/glue the ends together.
In the end, we decided that sashes have a lower percieved value than a hat/t-shirrt, yet still cost the same time/money to make, that we would underpromote them. If you discover the trick, - please share it.

Yeah - I know what you mean, but to be honest I don't think we'll be doing too many but as we do a lot of hen/stag printing it'll be another 'extra' to add to the basket :)
