Ekm powershop
Re: Ekm powershop
Does anybody on here use ekm powershop for there website?
I have been called a few times by them had a little go through the set up process with them seems
a decent enough site and easy to set up, but not having had a website before I have nothing to compare it with.
£20 a month + free set up ect seems fine but then I get to the bit where it says seo health check £350.
I no that the seo is important so trying to get some opinions of anyone who might be in the know.

Never used it but personally I'd be weary of paying that much a month. Opencart is free but obviously you need to host it.
Re: Ekm powershop
There's no contract with them just a rolling monthly fee,you can also import your ebay listings straight over as well
which they will do for you.
which they will do for you.

Hi,
I use it not for anything to do with Sublimation, but for the company i work for. I didn't really have any experience working with websites before just knew abit about graphics design.
It was pretty easy to set up and there is a forum like this one to get help from other members.
Little costly but if it is ease of use you want then i would recommended, they provide good looking templates that you just adjust to your needs.
Also we have never used the health checks or anything like that so you don't have to pay for that if you dont want it.

Thanks for the info.
Think I might give it a try as ease of use is 1 of the main factors for me at the moment.

Re: Ekm powershop
we use them
their customer service is atrocious and extremely rude at times you get the shop but anything extra you pay a lot for as fo exporting listings from ebay to your shop its a joke you spend more time moving items around and cutting out ebay crap you might aswell insert the listings from scratch . on the other side of the coin when its working it works well there are some good features that are free but l;ike i say beware if you sneeze they will charge you to say bless you

Thanks for the replies.
Nice site dragon, do you think being with emk helps bring traffic in? or does it not make much difference who you go with.

I have to ask the obvious question......Why do you stay with them if things are so bad?
Re: Ekm powershop
I agree wholeheartedly with Purple. We were with them for about 3 or 4 years and at the time they were great as a start up. The trouble I found was they were not evolving and as Purple says they wanted to charge you to sneeze. I asked for the underlining to be removed from hyperlinks - its not a difficult task they wanted £75 for the pleasure. Anyway I looked into opencart and to be honest it offered more for free. I ran an opencart shop along side the ekm one to see if there were any catches and there arent. I phoned EKM to cancel and they wanted a months notice which peed me off a bit and then I ended up having a heated telephone conversation with a member of staff who basically told me I was stupid to leave and opencart was not a viable option. I left with a nasty taste after all the payments I had made. Blow me if about 5 months later EKM phone me and ask if i had considered a web site with them - you can guess the answer.purpledragon;67884 wrote:we use them

If you want to stick your toes in the water they are good enough to set up and its better than no web site - but have a look into opencart its free (apart from hosting) and good.
