Totally agree.. You have to think ahead when it comes to ebay. Every ebay customer is a potential website customer for life. Start on ebay and collect email address for when you launch your own website to which you can then convert your ebay customers to website customers.bubblegumweb;65685 wrote:I've recently started selling my mug templates on Ebay. As a new venture I think Ebay is a good starting place dispite there fee's as with each sale you then create a customer list. I now have over a 100 customer details from Ebay sales and these people are asking to update them on any future new mug designs. I have created a website and any new mug template designs i bring out I email my current customers and direct them to my website to view the new designs. This will allow me to gain traffic to my website and sales thus eliminating those awful Ebay fees. It seems to be working!!!!!

Infact if anybody is interested in automatically collected ebay sales for marketing purposes then let me know and i can sort this for you.
You must have a paypal and ebay account for this to work but it adds there email details to a mailing list automatically which then in turn allows you to contact them once your website is up and running..

There is no privacy with Ebay - with the right software (free trial available) it is possible to see exactly what any ebay seller is turning over, what their best product lines are etc.

no privacy with a web site either - software can do the same thing for any website as well and with a little know how, you can get info you need if you really want itASLCreative;67422 wrote:There is no privacy with Ebay - with the right software (free trial available) it is possible to see exactly what any ebay seller is turning over, what their best product lines are etc.

HI Avalon
Personally i would say Both like Buibblegumweb said you can use eBay to market your products/services & then for furture or maybe even current orders direct them to your website & providing you have a clean secure website their is no reason why they wouldnt be happy to order online direct from you.
