Cushion covers
Re: Cushion covers
I have been asked to print a couple of cushion covers and have been sent a sample to see what they are like. I have checked on the BMS website and they are the same as the ones on there.
The advice on the BMS website is to pad out the cushion cover when printing, this is because of the zip that runs along the back about a quarter of the way down the cover, so if not padded it would show through.
Can anyone suggest what I use to pad it out that will also take the heat?

Re: Cushion covers
depends on the size of the print,
mousemat?
or teflon pillow http://www.targettransfers.com/dynamic/search.php if your going to be doing a lot.

Re: Cushion covers
I don't do a lot of cushion covers but when I have some have been like the ones you mentioned with a zip on the back or corded edges which mean you need to raise the print area to get a good transfer.
How I got around it was to measure some cardboard to the size of the cushion (the cardboard had a little score down the centre - I'll explain why in a second). I covered the cardboard with an old towel to give it some padding making sure that it was even and level (no good if the cover) won't press flat as you'll get an uneven print.
The cardboard had a score down the middle (scored with a craft knife) that would allow me to bend it in half(ish) to fit into the cushion over for pressing -it was a bit fiddly but it allowed me to get a good a3 print onto the cushion cover
Hope that helps?
