Re: Mug Printing Slightly Blurred

Post by Stitch Up »

Angie printed some mugs yesterday using Xpres paper and mugs.

The print on the paper is crisp and clear but on the mug, it's slightly blurred!

What causes this?

Cheers

Not wanting to start a debate (no, really) but are you air drying or dunking John?

What temp and time are you pressing for John and which printer are you using. Overcooking can cause blurring with Ricoh printers.

I haven't been drinking, honest! I believe she dunks Justin. She'll be back soon so I'm sure she can confirm that.

It is a RICOH with Sawgrass inks - I did wonder about overcooking as I read that somewhere. Do you mean too hot, too long or a combination of both? All will be revealed soon.

Cheers
