If your price isn't set in stone, I do think you should consider it as an ongoing payment, so people pay you a monthly fee for your service - this then gives you a regular residual income, and helps the spread the cost to your customers. The regular payments coming in from new and existing customers will give you more incentive to improve the software, and add more features etc.
Or maybe have a number of signup options - monthly, annually, and lifetime, at appropriate price points

Re: PRESS!tON first preview
I agree with you Pisquee, while this first version is superb there are a few things that I think could make it the best!
I would love to see a monthly direct debit option that gives you the software and updates as and when they come. Especially if there are options for purchasers to request design features etc.
However I know that Paul is trying to work out a way where he can essentially stop the software from working if someone does not pay their monthly payment. Which from what I can gather is quite difficult as you essentially need some sort of background log on procedure.

Sounds like a sensible price. I'll need to save up for it first, though...

Re: PRESS!tON first preview
I think Paul you could do it monthly relatively easily and put the onus on the payee.
Presumably you are hosting the program on your server.
Say if myself, pisquee and Justin all purchase the software.
You set up an individual folder for each of us and then send each the specific code for that folder.
so for example the code for me would be
xxxx\frames4photoshop\pressiton\social
justins could be
xxxx\frames4photoshop\pressiton\justin
You get the idea.
You ask each of us to set up a standing order for XX per month and each one must pay on the x date so all the money comes in on one day. Then at the given date you check your bank account. If for some reason I have not paid you simply delete or rename my directory so it will not work.
Does this sound doable or am I completely wrong?
