Re: xpres mugs

I received some samples of mugs from xpres, XP5013 and XP5059

I can't figure out which one is which? The technical specs on the xpres website are identical yet it's clearly not the case.

The better looking mug:
Very straight sided, 92mm, bright white, high quality.

The other cheaper looking mug has bad edges, 88mm, larger handle, feels heavier and chunkier, off white cream.

Same price on website, one is Orca, the other Rhino.

Anyone know which product code is which?

I was told porkies then. ..no Orca symbol. I'll need to ring them to find out the proper product code.

Orca coated mugs don't always have the symbol. When I used to have them we always requested the non-stamped version.

Where on the site does it say they are Orca.......couldn't see that bit.

5013 are the usual mugs and are the Rhino version from memory.

hi all!

sorry to drag up an old thread but it's a similar question, so thought it better then posting a whole new thread.

I've received a couple of samples from Xpres of what I think are the 5013 mugs. Mug quality seems fine, print quality seems fine, but I haven't had a chance to dishwasher-test them properly yet!

I usually get European mugs from BMS, but they are out of stock at the moment til the 9th and I'm in a bit of a hurry, so I'm thinking of trying a case from Xpres.

Can anyone comment on their general durability and dishwasherproofness? (think I may have made that word up!!)

Cheers,

Kevin

They will be fine in the dishwasher. They aren't RN coated but still good in dishwasher. Europeans back in on Saturday but we have 11oz if needed.

Thanks Martin. I might have to get a case of them for this order, as we stupidly left ourselves very short on stock, especially at this time of the year

I've never tried or seen the 11oz ones you have before, so for this order I might give it a miss as the client has already seen samples.

I gather the difference is they are slightly higher, and the handle is bigger...is there much of a difference on the handle? Quite like drinking from the Europeans myself!
