Hi!

OK, I've got something bizarre happening and I can't find any reference to it on the forum.

I use an Epson 1400 with a (nice and full) cis system.

I have recently started noticing strange shadowing around some of the colour on my mugs and have changed the heat blanket in my press and checked all the pressure etc. only to discover that the problem is with the printer.

It is producing a fine spray around images and I have no idea what to do about it.

I have done nozzle checks and the head alignmnet is OK...everything is fine, except this spray.

Any ideas??? I really hope so as I have soooo many orders!

Thanks,

Charis

Do you only notice this on certain colours and is it like an over spray?

Sounds like a print head problem to me....possibly partially blocked. This means the ink is trying to spray from a smaller hole causing increased pressure hence the ink 'mists'.

Thanks Justin and Roger :)

I called Xpres and they suggested that I syringed the air out of all the lines, I did this (and squirted a nice shade of cyan up my white studio wall) and the result is perfect. The fine mist has gone.

Thanks for replying :)
