Re: Advice Needed Before I throw a BIG strop.

I brought a eclectic wrap over from Amazon. From someone who sells on there not directly from Amazon. It was not what I expected and sent a email saying I would like to return it as it not what I thought it was going to be, I did this two days after it arrived. I heard nothing for three days and sent another email where they replied that says that the seller policy is not to do returns unless it does not work. I phone Amazon twice and spoke to somebody who would be the contact (not the same person)
But its still the same he won't let me return it. The system for returns is difficult to understand and the seller can send me a email but I have to go to Amazon, its driving me crazy, each day I'm getting more frustrated as I cannot do this direct with the seller and Amazon just passes messages on. What can I do

Im not sure Jenny but I believe there is a law that says that if its bought via the internet you can return it without reason. And they have to give you your money back.
Im off home now but if nobodies posted anything by the morning Ill try and find the article. Maybe you could Google it?
Just googled Maybe there is something here. https://www.adviceguide.org.uk/

I did tell the Amazon that, but they are mediators. I'm going to read the Distance Selling Regulations which covers a lot but its a time factor and not have the same mediator, in fact they only take your message and passes it . Has anybody read or know about the distance selling regulations. I'm to get something to eat and have a cuppa to let the steam from my ears go, no good come of doing things in a temper which I feel like giving him bad feedback, but that will be my last resort if I can't get any where, I think they relies on you giving up. Or does any body know how to approach the right person in Amazon to move forwarded thanks everybody

You have to let them know in writing, (email) within 7 days or receiving it that you intend to cancel the purchase, you dont have to send back within 7 days, just the notice to cancel. Thats the DSRs

I dont know about amazon, but with ebay you have to send it back tracked and usualy at your own expense.

I did do that in the seven days but with Amazon you have to go through them but the seller still said no. If they agree they send you the labels. so no labels no posting back. I might as well have lied and told them it was faulty. Mind you not had it out the box maybe I'll get lucky.
