how do you get white to come through on coloured clothing?

I was wondering how you get an image with white detail to sublimate on coloured clothing including hi viz? I'm new to sublimation and thought I would ask the question

If you have access to a cutter or are good with sissors, you could try sublimating onto white subli flock, cut it out and press this onto the garment. That way you will see some white.

That's an interesting idea. I never considered subbing onto flock (clearly, the cost will go up considerably). Does it work well?

this is only option for smaller designs. ie chest logo etc... biger designs feel like a cardboard. dont like it.

what about subbing onto one of the other types of vinyl? Like the digital ones that are very, very thin?

I use Siser C print vinyl (eco solvent inks) which is very thin, prints well and has properties which means if stretched it recovers it's shape hence it can be used on cotton/ poly cotton/ poly and lycra. Also as long as you don't go bonkers it can be ironed over safely.

The subli flock I use is super thin. I feels just like flock vinyl when printed and pressed onto the back of a t-shirt. I often do A4 size photos with no complaint from the customer.
Ive just looked at my supply. There is no info as to who makes it or where it comes from. Sorry. The supplier is www.printequipment.de
The price is in line with flock vinyl.
