Hi! I print some canvas on my inkjet. I think is all about canvas. some of them more gloss and some matt. so i thing on gloss will look shiny.

never heard about adhesive backed canvas.

I use inkjet on a good quality canvas, the finish is matt.
To get a more gloss finish you can apply a varnish.
There are different types but Glamour II giclee coating is one of the best.

I also use a good quality canvas and finish with a spray of frog juice which protects from uv etc but this also gives you a nice matt natural finish, as pablo has said the varnish will give you more of a sheen but you can also buy canvas that will do it too.

Hate to ask, but what is frog juice?

I know it's not the picture I've conjured in my head

We've tried frog juice on sublimation metal and on tests it made the image fade more quickly than on an untreated printed sheet! Frog juice comes in spray canisters and is supposed to be used to coat printed materials to protect them from UV rays.
