Ricoh 3110 - How much ink does it use to install

Hi all

I have a Ricoh SG3110dn that has a couple of minor faults, the duplex tray was broken on delivery and the waste tank sensor is saying it's full. I've been offered a new printer by my supplier but I've been using mine with Sublijet inks and thinking that the amount of ink it will use to prime the new printer I'm better off sticking with the one I have - The ink levels did seem to drop quite a bit when I initially installed it.

Just over half the cartridge before i printed anything, i did a check and inks were at about 48%

If its new send the lot back and get them to send you new printed and inks.

Thanks, unfortunately I didn't get both from the same place - They've gone and sent me a new printer so I'll swap the duplex unit over and give them the new one back.

Out of interest, how long to the Sublijet inks last?

Youll need to swap the ink waste tank over as well

I did, made no difference, the warning is still there.

Depends on how much you print.

Shelf life is 12 months according to some research I did but once in the printer I have no idea.

I also have noticed (with great shock) my ink indcator on my new sg3110dn reading low after printing only about 70 A4 sheets of paper.

Im on a roll now that I have got some practice in.

Is is possible that it could cost around 50p worth of ink for a 8X10 family photo printed onto boards.

The indicator levels are not very accurate, one of mine reads nearly empty when its got 30% left in it, I price mine at 75p per A4 sheet (includes paper) and work the cost of each item from that.
