Bike / car stickers

Someone in work wants a couple of stickers for a push bike. He has the design which he is sending me soon. I'm guessing i need to source this out, can anyone do stickers ?
Also what does it take to do stickers ones self?

Vinyl, application tape and a cutter is all you need

Surely not normal stcky vinyl I would use for signs etc , as I thought car bike stickers have a clear see through vinyl.

Screen printed onto white or clear vinyl. Can also be printed digitally.
