just bought a ricoh 3110 printer its still in its box any tips on setting printer up using windows 7 or is it just a case of following the manual

Steve .....just take it step by step. Get yourself a coffee...make time to do it without outside distractions and it's easy (at least setting up my 7700 was).

done mine the other week, with windows 8 so no powerdriver, apart from that get yourself a cuppa and take your time shouldn't be too difficult .

just opend the box there is 4 cartridges in there on the wrapping there is no makers name on iam guessing the supplier has swapt them but now closed anybody know how i can tell if they are the sub ones or ricoh dont want to mess up on stage 1 ha ha

Where did you buy the printer from?
Some take the old inks out some leave them in, usualy says on their website
