Re: inkjet transfer paper on items

Post by viccar »

Hi all
I run a small home business making vinyl car decals, vinyl/rhinestone t-shirts, bags, wall art, and rhinestone transfers.

I am getting interested in the sublimation side of things, but need to save my £'s, for good printer, inks and mug press

in the meantime i have tried using inkjet transfer paper on fabric (poly) mouse mats with not too bad results, i have seen the fabric topped coaster which i assume will work the same as mouse mats, but would they be heat/spill proof?

Also i was wondering if there is anything else i can use inkjet transfer paper on other that t shirts and mousemats, like jigsaws, hard coasters?

I have epson SX235W with durabrite inks.

Inkjet printers are not capable of printing white. So, anywhere that the image requires white, the garment's existing colour shows through .For dye submiltaton transfer paper, fabrics historically had to be white or light in color. 100% poyster, poly/cotton mix (the garment should be at least 50% poly) microfibre and nylon can all be used.
