Re: Subli Metal

Can anyone suggest a cheap source for aluminium subli sheets with a white finish. I usually use BMS, but their website insists on trying to charge me £15 postage even though in the top corner it says delivery is £6.99.
£15 delivery is out of the question as I only want 15 sheets and can't think of anything else i need to order at the moment.
Cheers in advance for any help

ouch, maybe its to do with your postcode, as you count as highlands and islands, rather than mainland which is normal for most companies, have you thought of calling them on Monday ??

Maybe the postage has gone up due to amount of items in the basket as I noticed this on mine

Getting all my metal from Nicci at Subl Metals now, service is first class, prices excellent. She'll even cut to custom sizes if you need them.

I bought 25 x 200mm square pieces and this cost me £7 delivery.

Yes I realise I have a highlands and islands postcode but it doesn't cost £15 to get something that small to here if only people would realise that it is faster and cheaper to used royal mail.
It is going to cost me as much for postage as it is to buy the materials, so it looks like yet another job I will have to turn down.
It seems this is the cost of running a small business and living in a beautiful out of the way place.

Thanks guys for suggesting sublimetals I think i will give them a go, their prices are a little more expensive but their postage is more down to earth.

Sorry Mick, hadn't realised you were in Orkney, should have realised from your user name! :-( I know all too well the problems you face with the delivery postcode. Nicci is very good, anything up to 2kg (I think) goes for £7, any more it has to be courier but she does let you know first. I guess you get punished the same as us for living on an island, all be it still UK we may as well be abroad! ....in the sunshine.

There's a shop who buys our products in wholesale, who isn't highlands or islands, just a little bit in Cumbria, and our usual courier surcharges to send to her as if she was.
