Can anyone advise me regarding sublimation of tote/hand bags etc. Having finally managed to get my printer working correctly, I've managed to get started on some mugs and coasters. Obviously being flat I have not had too many problems, except a bit of ghosting around a couple of the mugs, which I believe to be where the paper was not tight enough.
I worked up to a ladies purse, which was fairly successful, then to a bag with removable cover. As this is not completely flat with the inside seams and velcro for closing, I managed to ruin this as the thinner areas did not take the picture as well, also the polyester side of the bag seems to have shrunk as the other side is now creased up.
Also on wooden coasters with the baize backing, the baize is also now very crinkled.
I am obviously doing something seriously wrong, can anyone shed any light, please?

Re: Bags and general help
Hi Janjan
We would need a bit more info on each product to be able to help. Are you able to give the temperature and pressing time for each one. It would also help if you told us what printer you are using.

As I said on another thread recently, cardboard cut to fit inside the seams, with cutouts for the velcro, to bring it all up to the same thickness.
Re: Bags and general help
Before I try with cardboard, just wondering if there is something I am doing wrong.
I have and Epson 1400 with refillable cartridges. have done a few trials with mouse mats, wooden coasters and purses, which seem to turn out ok, (being flat of course).
I pressed at 195 for 60 seconds. Haven't had the confidence to try again yet!!

Also for the coaster, 185 for 60 seconds, both items, the bag and wooden coaster, are wrinkled underneath, suggesting possible too much heat??
