Re: Laser Printers with Image Clip® Koncert T Transfer Paper

Hi, I am wanting to buy an A4 colour laser printer for T Shirt printing using Image Clip Koncert T Transfer Paper from Yolo. They vary so much in price from £70 up to £1,000's. I am looking to spend up to £400, can anyone recommend a good reliable printer? Thanks

Most laser printers will be reliable. They tend to vary considerably though in laser toner costs and size of the toners. We use the Oki C610 which has 6000 page yield toners but the printer is pricey. Cheaper laser printers tend to have greater printing costs and visa versa (generally). Do Yolo recommend any particular laser printer?

The only ones that YOLO mention are the ones that they have tried and tested the paper on: OKI 8800/6050/5150, Lexmark 782/540N/935, Xerox Phaser 6180, Minolta Magicolor 2300DL

I'd steer clear of Lexmark as they tend to be expensive with a capital E. The Konica Minolta machines are okay, but in comparison to the Oki's are slower to print as they work on a drum method of laying toner down rather than a straight line through like the Okis. I think, but stand to be corrected, that those printers in your list are old models and not available to buy new anymore.

Have a look at Oki laser printers - the C511 is within budget - comes with £50 cashback, 3 year warranty and toner sizes of 2000 or 5000 yield. http://www.printerland.co.uk/OKI-C511dn-P122973.aspx
