Hi Chris, it does but it is only for large format printers not the desktop printers you are refering too in the thread. We just have to be careful as this is an open forum & I hope you understand our position.brydges;57297 wrote:Hello Ian, When looking on their website it shows they have the license for it?

Hi brydges
You have very decent kit so why go cheap on the ink? If I were you I would purchase a Ricoh (A3 or A4) and then get the proper ink carts. They may seem expensive but in the grand scheme of things its only about 25p of ink per mug

Yes true £0.25p per full wrap print is not bad, but the Epson 1400 printer aint bad either. And produces prints just as well as a cheap a4 Ricoh printer. May even be better in fact, after all it does take 6 colours
But i have seen the Ricoh in action and i can say one thing, they do produce fantastic prints and super quick speeds. As for the ink i can not discuss this, but its actually better in my opinion
And cold is not the word, i have the heating on 24 hours a day and still darn cold. Its my office which keeps me warm during the day

Hi Brydges
I do not know much about Epson's but I am sure the standard of print is superb. One thing I do know is that not one Ricoh "Supported" printer owner has ever had an issue with the heads clogging. I am sure someone on here will be able to tell you if the same can be said about Epsons as I can't imagine that Ricoh are the only printers that truly work for dye sub without the need of printing something every single day.

The Epson 1400 is fantastic, Yes heads do clog up if you use cheap inks, I must admit i have never once had an issue with my printer clogging, Nor have i ever had to clean it with fluid. But the thing which annoys me the most is head cleaning - first uses are fantastic then after you have to clean the heads, unless you refill before it reaches about 10%socialgiraffe;57319 wrote:Hi Brydges

But head cleaning does not happen 2 often, As long as you maintain the printer such as clean the sponges, wipe the printers head and clean other bits with alcohol wipes. I do this prob once every 6 months
