Do I Need Mug Printing Software?

I am wanting to start doing mug heat press, but do i need to get like a photo software? or wil it come with my printer?

if you get ricoh printer then you can use ANY software that can work with photos. as it use powerdriver and there is no need for handling profiles...
you can get free Gimp or paint.net here http://www.getpaint.net/features.html

but if you use epson or other inkjet printer then you will need software that can handle color management nicely.

I would recomend adobe photoshop elements. its not free but VERY descent piece of software.

Hi Paul,

If i am going to print a photo or text from photoshop to sublimate on a mug what do i need to do to make sure the photo or text does not look back to front?

With the powerdriver for the Ricoh you can choose to mirror image when printing.

Cool i have a ricoh but not attempted to print anything yet. will it ask me if i want to mirror image the print? sorry i am a novice.

i am a novice as well but i learnt all about it from this forum over the last month or so, biggest mistake i made before i had printed a mug was to put the cartridges in the printer that were in the box it was normal ink, but i believe if you buy off BMS he removes them the powerdriver you need to download from sawgrass think thats the name.
