Good printers.

We've now standardised on them as basic printers at work due to the low pence per page costs (of normal ink).
Also the WP-4535 for multifunction use and the WP-7525 for A3 MF use.

Wired network, wireless and USB connectivity (printer install won't work through a router though).

At last, Epson finally catch up with Brother and have printers with decent sized cartridges. All Epson need to do now is to follow Brother's other lead and get rid of the chips on the cartridges (like that'll ever happen!).

Thankfully the street price of the printer is more sensible than the RRP. Refilliable cartridges are a bit steep, though (presumably due to the chips?).

I'm sure I'm missing something, but how come it's £258 (inc VAT) when the RRP is less than £180 and you can buy it for £122 from Amazon? I don't see anywhere it says that it's supplied with sublimation inks.

If I was going to consider this printer, I'd be buying it for £122 from Amazon then getting refillable cartridges, I wouldn't want to be tied into Sawgrass's "pre-filled cartridges" method.

Jonathan, I've found them on Ebay for £115 & you can pick up the refill catridges on there too for around £50 so £165 in all. Like you say just wish they would get rid of the damn chips on the cartridges now.

i wonder if in order to buy the refill cartridges and ink from a reseller (non ebay) you would need to give some sort of proof of ownership of one of the more expensive printers ??

There are ink suppliers selling online away from ebay, who you can just click a button on their website, pay, and the ink is then posted to you.

I'm not sure on BMS' site, but you can order litres of Artainium from their site by clicking buttons as normal. There is a legal disclaimer there, but I don't know if they are going to phone you up to confirm the order/existence of a large printer, or just post the inks out to you.

We do phone and we do ask for the serial numbers and may refuse to supply if we are not convinced.
