Anyone ever noticed cheap coasters on their travels? Unisub only ever come down to a certain price and I have used a few alrternatives once or twice. I didn't like the type without the perfectly smooth surface the same as Unisub. Guess it can't be that hard to have them made if you could source the covered board.

Hi Andrew

Which other suppliers have you already tried?

I have traditionally bought my coasters from Xpres but tried most of the mainstream guys about. I think I am possibly after something I am not going to find that easily as it all comes down to getting costs down. Currently use the 9cm square and know there are non-unisub coasters with as good a finish. Guess I am looking for the source really.

Have you tried these ones?

Not sure how they price in comparison to other unisub ones as I've not done coasters, yet

Thanks Kaz. Can't say I am keen on buying from HTG. Never found them that good or reliable. However, they do claim to make the coaster themselves from Unisub material which I guess isn't that complicated. Might be the way to go. I have previously contacted Unisub so might check their sheet pricing.

You might like to try our "standard" coasters - coming soon a couple of additional shapes to those currently offered. I think you will find the surface is the quality you are looking for!

I too use the Xpres coasters as my customers prefer the 90mm size and Xpres seem to be one of the few companies still offering them. They're way cheaper than the 100mm as well. I also have to use circular so 90mm is only way to go really.

I prefer the Unisub finish to other makes as well.

I'm about to buy a few myself so maybe this is a possoble co-op buy we could do? I'll drop Xpres an email and see if they could do a deal for orders placed on a particular day or give free postage for example.
