InkTec are licensees of Sawgrass for production and sales of sublimation inks, and paid a lot of money (millions IIRC) for the privilege as a one-off fee, along with a % of sales. They are a large producer of professional inks for large format printing, along with small format printers. They should definitely not be tarred with the same brush as cheap/generic/unbranded ebay inks.

Who said anything about inkTec, InkTec are great inks and I have them in my Roland, but as your aware they are not licensed to be used in small format printers which I personally don't give two hoots about as if I want to use some of the ink bought for my Roland into my Brother or Epson then as far as I'm concerned that's down to me.
But I believe that you can't advertise inktec sublimation inks for your desktop printer so there lies the problem, Yes you have good quality inks but how do you remove yourself from the Dross on Ebay that are mixing or buying rubbish from china and selling it as a set up along with a printer and a couple of mugs.
Look at the amount of members that come on here and state that they have just bought a S22 and can't understand why the print quality is rubbish, do we just sit here and snigger thinking there goes another sucker or do we tell them the real reasons in that the inks are far from perfect and resemble more poundland touch up paint than sublimation and basically they have been ripped off.
I have no problem from naming and shaming anyone but I don't run this site and will leave it to the administrator to decide if I can.
I can't believe there is such negative feedback on a forum that's supposed to help others just because one is worried about his ink sales.

RaDecal Graphics;56123 wrote:OK, not sure if this being mentioned is all right but it might save a lot of people a lot of grief as there is a pattern emerging
from someone selling complete Epson S22 start up kits on Ebay.
Firstly if you shop around you can buy the individual items a lot cheaper than this kit but more importantly if you do decide to
go down this line DO NOT BUY THE INKS from this guy.
After PMing several on this forum who have had massive problems setting up and printing Sublimation they have all used this guy's
Inks and to be quite honest even I don't know what they are and I've run large format printers for years but they certainly not sawgrass
or sawgrass licenced.
They will cause you nothing but grief.
Once you flush this rubbish out your system and start using the correct inks you will start to enjoy and profit from your new venture plus
the bonus of keeping your hair longer.

I apologise if this breaks with this forums etiquette about mentioning unlicenced inks but may helps others health and wealth.
Right to clarify a few points firstly from the quote above you will see I mentioned the guy selling a complete Epson S22 set up so if you are only selling inks then this is not you.
Secondly you will see that a said they are not Sawgrass inks or Sawgrass licenced so again this would not be you.
As Paul said their is only one selling this set up so it doesn't take much to work it out.
BTW I still buy my inks from Ebay but obviously a different supplier.

Thanks to those who have PMed me to let me know they found this more than useful it makes my time spent worthwhile.

I can vouch for the fact that this seller has caused me some head aches. I didn't buy the complete set up from him as it was way over priced, I just bought the inks and I've been having all kinds of trouble with my printouts. I appreciate RaDecal Graphics help. He is looking out for us beginners and I only wish he'd posted this sooner so I could've saved a few quid. Hopefully this stops others making the same mistake as me.

I have to admit as soon as I see someone new who says 'I bought an Epson S22' then I just mutter to myself 'oh no not another one'. Thing is if you are going to set up a small business of your own you should always do the research first. That is what I & other older members on here had to do all those years ago. We had to deal with suppliers who knew the business & could give us the correct advice of what equipment we should be using right from the start.

There are always going to be people trading on Ebay who are there to rip people off just so they can make a fast buck. These traders do annoy me like hell & I avoid them like the plague at all times. The thing is I do have several years of experience & now know what looks like a bargain is not a bargain at all. Unfortunatley these fast buck merchants will always tempt unexperienced people who haven't done their research & that's where the problems start. People should always say to themselves 'if it sems too good to be true, it probably is' & I've lost count how many times that has been said on Dragons Den. Would you buy a cheap Rolex watch from China knowing that it will be a fake?

We have always said on here 'if you buy cheap, you pay twice' which has been so true in a lot of cases of new members.

I was not claiming that you were talking about InkTec, but my concern was with wanting the thread title changing for reasons of clarity, as the most common brand of sublimation ink on ebay is from InkTec, and to name the thread in the way you have has implications bigger than the seller/sales you are actually wanting to discuss.
