OK, not sure if this being mentioned is all right but it might save a lot of people a lot of grief as there is a pattern emerging
from someone selling complete Epson S22 start up kits on Ebay.
Firstly if you shop around you can buy the individual items a lot cheaper than this kit but more importantly if you do decide to
go down this line DO NOT BUY THE INKS from this guy.
After PMing several on this forum who have had massive problems setting up and printing Sublimation they have all used this guy's
Inks and to be quite honest even I don't know what they are and I've run large format printers for years but they certainly not sawgrass
or sawgrass licenced.
They will cause you nothing but grief.
Once you flush this rubbish out your system and start using the correct inks you will start to enjoy and profit from your new venture plus
the bonus of keeping your hair longer.

I apologise if this breaks with this forums etiquette about mentioning unlicenced inks but may helps others health and wealth.

As fa as i know they dont have to b licensed by sawgrass if used in LFP :-) I agree with yo tho a i am sure i know the set up you mean... Is collection of the cheapest gear bundled in to a "set up"
i dont think this seller provde iccs with this set up so i dont think you will get desent customer service...
Regarding problems with printing is not coz tue brand of the ink. Its printer is used. S 22 is very bottom printer and i would not expect mirecles from this printer. It true that if it works then it can produce excelent imahes bu this is all hit and miss.

I always said iam big fan of diy but also i always say that look around. Read and learn before you buy.

Hi Paul
Even after you sent me a icc profile to use I still couldn't get anything like reasonable results from the S22 and not being in a position to get a Ricoh as my wife's embroidery machines had taken all my spare cash, I bought a Brother A3 printer but made the mistake of using the remainder the same diabolical inks.
So after hair pulling and a few Anglo Saxon words I bit the bullet and flushed everything out and changed inks and what a contrast.
The colours are radiant and photos are now of photographic quality.
Having used large format printers for years I've never come across anything that had such a negative impact on the end result before and have tried quite a few different inks. I did notice that when I emptied the duff sublimation inks from the bottles there was a huge build up of sediment at the bottom which will kill your print heads in no time.
I strongly think this is why there has been such a large input of members joining and having problems with the Epson S22. Its not so much the printer but from where it came from.

Icc didn help???
This is new for me :-\
if charts were printed properly you still should get right colours. Gamut may be smaller if inks are pants but colors should be right.

...As long as the.seller not mix them with watter or other wired fluids to get more ink fo less... I have seen this before....

Think you hit the nail on the head there Paul, I'm sure he has mixed his own concoction up or just filled the bottles with Dulux lol
Oh btw it was a general icc you sent me not a custom one so it was nothing wrong you had done:smile:

Can the thread title please be edited so it doesn't imply that it is about all inks on Ebay

But how do you do that without naming and shaming the supplier. As Sawgrass is the only licensed ink for small factor printers then surly its better to warn newcomers about the pitfalls. If you openly sell sublimation inks on Ebay then I would have thought you would clearly state that they are genuine and show pictures so people can see.
This is not a witch hunt for all that sell on Ebay but to advise members that they could be wasting their time and money buying such kits.

but i do agree with you regarding seller of this printer and inks bundle. does not look good...

Why not name the seller of the bad deal. Then it shouldn't affect other genuine sellers.
