Hello all, nice forum. Hoping I can impart some of my experience in the future, but for now I got a question of my own!

Had a mug order for the first time since August. Have a 3300 and the thing just won't switch on! A couple of the buttons flash on for less than a second, that's it! I've only had it for about 15 months, but as annoyed that I am I still think Ricoh is my best bet.

I see that there is an upgraded version now, the 3110. Has anyone used both printers and preferred one over the other?

There seem to be quite a lot of reports on another (US based) forum, of users with Ricoh's which suddenly exhibit the problem yours has now developed. It seems quite a common fault when using Ricoh's with Sawgrass ink/carts. There were some claims apparently from Ricoh/Sawgrass that the problem had been found and cured, but users are still finding this problem.

Get in contact with the Sawgrass distributer that sold you this machine and they should be able to offer an upgrade path at considerably less than buying new. We have the SG3110 on demo and it's fast and produces excellent results as did the GXe3300.

Thanks for the replies. Martin, you have an interesting site, will be checking it out.

So I got sorted out with the 3110dn. Looks nifty, has anyone had the same problem as me. ie they say that I have to install the Gelsprinter Driver from Ricoh.co.uk/downloads for my Win7 PC. However that driver does not seem to exist on their site.... or Google for that matter!?!

Well quite, I seem to be spoilt for choice!

Actually a couple of hours ago I decided to assume that the Gelsprinter driver is the same as the Powerdriver, so downloaded the Powerdriver. Have spent the last 2 hours pulling hair out. I've wasted about 10 coasters where for some reason the paper transfer is not, er, transferring. I may aswell be printing onto Tesco A4 rather than the Truepix!

I think I've ID'd the problem. Through Photoshop, my Powerdriver settings has a section called 'Driver Configuration', it has a dropdown menu called 'OEM Printer' but the only printer listed is 'Ricoh AficioSG3110DN RPCS-R'.

Am I right in thinking that there should be a SECOND printer to choose from? I see that in my Control Panel there is also a printer called 'Powerdriver R SG3110DN', which sounds like it's what I should be printing with, so how can I get that to appear on that OEM dropdown?

When I select print i get 2 options the gelsprinter and the powerdriver and you want the powerdriver option. When i installed mine it appeared to select when i click print so to be honest I am not too sure how to get yours to appear if it is not there already but no doubt someone with computer experience will be along soon
