Coral4 Mug Press Problems
Re: Coral4 Mug Press Problems
Hello people
Right im thinking that the blanket is on its way out as im getting a faded spot in the same place on all mugs now.
The thing is the mug press is only 6 weeks old and i have only printed about 50 mugs with it.
I always use a mug to heat up the press as well to make the blanket last longer. How long are they supposed to last and also am right in what i am thinking that the blanket is on its way out.
Thank in advance..

Try turning a mug round the other way to see if the faded spot is in the same place in relation to the print or in relation to the position in the press.
It does sound like the blanket is the problem to be honest. Presumably your pressure is all set correctly?

yeah my pressure is set to medium pressure.. might try up the pressure a bit more and give that a go..
what is the expected life of a blanket.. would have thought it would have lasted longer than 50 mugs..lol

Re: Coral4 Mug Press Problems
I purchase my blankets from HeatpressUK which is where I purchased the machine. The previous set of blankets only lasted about 500 wraps and when i telephoned them they offered replacements for half price which I thought was fair.
The problem you have is that CG will have to take you word for it that they have only done 50 or so mugs. Fingers crossed for you

yeah i know what you mean.. will give them a call and see what they say.. Thanks for the advice... just about to press one upside down and see what happens..
Re: Coral4 Mug Press Problems
ummm the plot thickens.. I have pressed a mug upside down and the fading is still in the same place. I would have said that it could be the design but it is doing it on all designs that are black in that area or dark..
Any ideas... im cooking at 180 for 180sec and waiting for temp to reach 180 before i start timing..

Can you tell us what mug press machine you are using, and if you are able to upload a photo that would be great.
