[h=3]Paper sticking to slates:

Have searched the forum and still not found a solution,

Some say soak in soapy water and clean off, but I have found you need a lot of pressure on sponge and it leaves slight scratches to the slate.
some have tried different paper, but i have found no results posted,

I’m using xpress paper, 200 heat for about 500 secs, medium pressure
38x38 swing press
The slates come out good apart from the paper sticking,

Any ideas

Cheers
Paul

texprint is recommended for slates i have never used any other paper on slates
use a conductive rubber pad (green rubber)
this is what i do and they come out great everytime!
affix the transfer to the slate
Place it imaging side face-up (transfer down) on the press.
Cover with heat resistant green rubber pad. (1/8” Green Rubber Pad larger than the plaque being imaged.)

Just done my first slate just to try and used tru-pix paper and bms instructions and times, Really impressed with how it came out being as i used a old picture, The paper did stick in 2 places but only around 1cm each spot but already knew that i should expect the paper to stick a little after reading previous post on here and was easily sorted after a quick dunk in warm water, only thing i did change when doing it was i wanted to try and keep some of the white around the edges so didnt do a full bleed. Great forum to learn from so you dont panic after pressing items. :)
