Re: Epson b1100 with refillable inks.....
I'm using an Epson Workforce 1100 which seems to be the US version of the B1100 with refillable carts and its working really well. I'm not using sawgrass inks though so that might be why I'm not having clogging problems.Just run a purge print through every now and then if the printer isn't being used much and it seems to be fine.

Never had any issues with clogging etc. on the B1100, tested over a good time and left on for differing time scales, never an issue. Print is perfectly adequate but not on a par with a 6 colour printer. Still perfectly acceptable for most work though.
Re: Epson b1100 with refillable inks.....
There is a marginal improvement with the 6 colours, but you have to weigh up how much of an improvement it is for your work, and how much the additional inks will cost you over time.
Clogging wise, it seems that most people have problems with ink flow from trying to use CISS systems, people tend to have less problems using refill carts, as there is less to go wrong. People assume that when their printer stops printing a colour properly, that it is clogged, when usually it is a CISS problem.

... Brother inkjet printers can also be used for sublimation work, and have larger refill carts available than the Epsons ... if you search the forums here for "brother" you should see which ones others are using and how they are getting on. Again, you will need Paul to make you a profile, as you would for going the DIY route with an Epson.
