Help with Mug printing

S22 recommended by who ?

Sticky side of the paper ? Didn't even know there was one

What paper is it, what ink is it and what mugs are they. Have you got a profile for the S22 ?

Hi , thank you for replying , as you say above , im allowing the prints to dry for approx 10mins , also when the Press has reached 180c i am then placing the mug with the print taped to it into the Press and allowing it to get to 180c again before clamping it and starting the timer .

i have also tried what you have said re warming both press and mug together , ive adjusted the clamp so that the mug is a snug fit .

You should never heat a mug press up to 180 deg without it being clamped to a mug as this leads to premature blanket death.

So put old mug in press and clamp it and heat to 180 deg
Turn press off, remove mug, put in mug with transfer and clamp it in place then turn press back on and allow to get back to 180 deg then start timer.

Some mug presses have an idle temp setting which is normally 110 degrees, if your mug press has this then you can heat to 110 deg without a mug then put in mug with transfer and clamp it and then pressing the timer button it should heat up to 180 and then countdown.

Why turn press off ?

Because having a blanket at 180 deg and on without a mug in it isnt good for it. So safer to turn it off, replace mug and turn back on!
