Re: Correct word for when you use sublimation on an item
To sublimate its a verb not specific to this industry but it basically means to imprint, transfer or mix together ie the ink when heated to a certain tempriture sublimates in other words converts to the returns to its original state the best way to descibe our industry would be to say we transfer images via a process that sublimates ink or dye onto an item hence the term dye sublimation......

Isn't sublimation a technical/physics term for a product that turns from a solid to a gas WITHOUT going through the liquid phase ?
This type of product is also known to sXXXXXe (soz, - couldn't bring myself to use the word !)
