You only want to consider a second hand machine IF it has ONLY been used for sublimation before. I doubt there would be many second hand GXe3300's coming onto the market to be honest.

Thanks for your input the 1 im looking at currently is http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221072818585? ... 1423.l2649

The trouble is im trying to work out whether i would be better paying the extra to get a brand new one from 1 of the online retailers etc or i have been told to see if the retailers hae any seconds models or display models aswell which is another idea.

Cheers

If you're looking at buying this printer buy it from a sublimation supplier so that you get the full support and backup. Even if you go elsewhere and save a few pounds the support is invaluable.

If you subscribe to this forum for £10 per year you'd immediately get £9 off that particular printer and discounts on many other items that you'll be printing.

edit: £25+ saving on the 3110 printer using DSF discount :-)

Go for the 3110 (has a larger black cart) my maths tells me its a bit cheaper to run than the 3300, I will upgrade as I earn, also as Martin says they are not supported by box shifters if you use them for sublimation printing so be aware.

Thanks for the input guys.

I have seen nothing of the 3110 that is mentioned i take it that is an older model than the 3300.

Jersue sorry to sound thick but i have no clue what your on about when you said not supported by box shifters if used for sublimation printing.

thanks again and sorry if some of the questions are silly

3110DN is the new printer, replacing the 3300!

box shifters, stack em high, sell em cheap and then dump you if you have an issue with the product esp when used for sub printing.

The 3300 is slightly cheaper and has a much longer track record but as mentioned above the 3110 is a newer model so may have improvements....Anyone tell us what they are other than a more modern look? ;-)
