Re: GXe3300N problems
You'll possibly also need to set up a custom paper size in your printer settings. I did this on my B1100 and it took a while to get right
Re: GXe3300N problems
i think this is where I'm going wrong.
Ok, from the start, I open up Corel and choose 'New Blank Document'
I select size 'custom' and enter size 90w x 140 h
I them import image and centre via the 'arrange tab' My image is 67 x 125
I then go to 'layout' and 'page set up' where I can see on the page size tab it's showing 'custom size 90 x 140' - I press ok
Next I hit 'print preview' and go to 'print options' and in the 'general' tab I hit 'preferences' . I select the correct paper
I get an 'issue' show up which then says 'output doesnt fit within printable area'
I close the box back to print preview. The two drop down boxes in the top left hand corner are set to 'Custom (current settings not saved)' and 'as in document'
Obviously I'm doing something wrong....

Re: GXe3300N problems
Looking at this I think you need to set up a custom page size for your printer. You can do this in the Control Panel section of Windows. This will need to be the same as the paper you have purchased. Once you have done this then open your document, select the correct printer and make sure within the properties of that printer you have selected your custom page size. Once you have checked that you can then select the correct page size within Corel and then all the other settings.
Having said the above, dare I make a suggestion.... Why not just print it out on A4 Dye Sub paper? I can not see what the benefit is in purchasing this paper. You may save a few pennies per sheet but that is the only reason I can think of.

Re: GXe3300N problems
If I could print all my mug and bottle designs onto custom sized paper I would, it drives me mad cutting and slicing. That said, I also want something that will tape them on for me
Re: GXe3300N problems
Ok I'll try it later today. I thought it would be more economical to buy the pre sized paper, it just seems such a waste printing on A4.
Will let you know how I get on.
Thanks again

Re: GXe3300N problems
You could always put two or three prints on 1 A4 sheet. It is more economical but then the saving is probably less than two pence per print
Don't worry, as you get more familiar with Corel then I am pretty sure you will be able to use the pre cut sheets you have. But for now I would suggest you use A4 sheets. As you said in your original post "you are a newbie" so I am pretty safe in saying that you will encounter more problems and someone will be here to help. So its probably best to start with the basics like printing on a recognised page size

Re: GXe3300N problems
Also if printing to pre-cut paper you need to make sure you are printing 'borderless' otherwise it is possible the printer is refusing to print at full image size and shrinking to fit as it is reserving a margin on all sides. This may be why you are having a sizing issue.
This is more likely an option in the printer driver than coreldraw.

Re: GXe3300N problems
I just tried 4 prints on a sheet of A4 and it's perfect, I suppose I probably should revert to this method...
thanks to everyone for their help - be assured I'll be a regular!!

Don't give up on the pre-cut paper, it's just getting the printer set up right
I didn't realise they did that size, I know they do the 11oz mug papers but I don't get on so well with their paper, prefer Xpres....just need to get that cut to size then!
