Well, as Pulse was so much fun, and quite successful for us, we're off to set-up for Harrogate tomorrow. I'm in the studio now just finishing off the wholesale brochure and price lists, and then got a load of A3 and A2 paper prints to run off.
We learnt a lot doing Pulse, and have worked on our products, and have twice the size of stand (3x2 rather than the booked 3x1) due to a booking mix up by the organisers :-)

we were coming up to look at some new items for our business, but i did not want to drive, and then the train was £75 each, so that kind of put the hold on it, which is a shame, hope you have a good one

Good luck - I visited last year and was amazed by how big it was! I decided not to exhibit this year as the 'best' place for me would have been the greetings and stationary hall. While I do mostly cards I didn't feel my range was big enough to really compete.
Hope you do really well.

Stand looks amazing. Hope you have done incredibly well.
All I've ever had at shows is a 2x1m stand, and it's very hard to be too creative in that space!
I may PM you in a few weeks (after you've recovered) about the attendance and how 'Intro North' was if that's OK?

We did well, and have a good amount of new stockists around UK.
The mix-up giving us the upgrade to the 3x2 stand was really helpful, giving us more space to create a more "walk-in" experience, rather than the 1x3 we had at Pulse, freeing up wall space for art work. We also tweaked some of the product designs to be simpler/more striking.
Intro-North section has pros and cons ... the main pro is that it is cheaper than the main areas of the show, and in the discount package you get wooden walls that you can paint and screw into (as long as you paint them back to white afterwards) which you have to pay extra for in the main areas, also you get 1 light included. Mains electric is extra. At Pulse, the equivilent section "LaunchPad" the package also includes your electric (500W)
Footfall is not so good in IntroNorth as you are in the basement, with low ceiling height, and it's not obvious how to find the area. Although the good buyers know, and said, that they make a point of coming to the section as they know it is where they will find new/different products and designs - which is why buyers go to the show.

Glad you had a good show, the stand looked great - I imagine it was a great help having the extra space. Thanks for your opinions on Intro North - footfall would have been my main concern (given the overall size of the show), plus being stuck in the basement (which smelt of damp last year!) for that length of time!

No smell of damp this year at least.
