Re: 11 oz or 10oz
Hi, I've been using 11oz mugs for a few months now. Was just wondering what you peeps all prefer? Is there a customer preference?
Might try 10oz next but not sure if my customers would feel that they are getting less for there money, so to speak.

i personally hate the 11oz mugs i think they are huge.
and from customer feedback they all seem to prefer the 10oz if not smaller

Re: 11 oz or 10oz
I use 10oz and the next size they want is the pint mug. Plus they are easier to get a box of posting and cheaper
Re: 11 oz or 10oz
Yep, been using 10oz for years, they fit the styrene mailers and are a lot cheaper for international postage (I sell mostly singles). I keep a few 11oz for the odd customer who queries size before buying so I can offer a choice.
Re: 11 oz or 10oz
There is very little difference between these mugs really. The 11oz name is used to describe the chinese mug. These are usually 95mm tall by 80 - 82mm diameter but thickness and quality of finishes vary. There are hundreds of companies manufacturing 11oz mugs. The 10oz mug will be different, probably in weight, but not necessary a big difference in size of volume of liquid it holds. Some 10oz mugs are 90mm tall, others between 90mm and 95mm but are usually 80mm in diameter. The 10oz name has emerged as the name for a mug that looks more like the TAMS Durham mug (we call ours the European Mug, but specifically don't refer to it as a 10oz mug as often people think it is much smaller, which it isn't). We probably sell European Mugs to 110z Mugs in the ratio 100:1 or even higher, i.e. for every 100 cases of European we might sell 1 case of 11oz.Dave271069;48531 wrote:Hi, I've been using 11oz mugs for a few months now. 10oz mugs for me. Customers over the years prefer them, can't stand the heavy ones!
