sublimetal
Re: sublimetal
I had to order some sublimation business cards off their ebay shop as i hadn't enough for order i needed to do, they sent me a message saying they'd managed to get them sent out on friday first class recorded.
As of yesterday i was still waiting for them so i contacted them only to be told to buy a second batch and they would send them via special delivery as i needed them asap i agreed and bought second batch.
Today the second batch turned up but no first batch still i have tried contacting them for refund on first batch as they've clearly been lost but cannot get a response either through ebay, website telephone number or mobile number.
Is it me or do most suppliers these days not care much about customer service etc. According to ebay i have to wait until 30th June before i can open dispute if i don't hear back from them this is a joke i'm getting sick of problems with ebay now.

Re: sublimetal
That's crap service though standard fleabay terms.
Out of interest are the cards/blanks any good? I've seen some from some suppliers with quite sharp edges which put me off offering them.

Re: sublimetal
ebay are rubbish
i had a claim made against me that way the buyers fault as he replied to an email sent by them that had in big bold letters
'don not reply to this email'
ebay didn't even offer to hear my side and accepted the claim against me instantly so i'm now £100 out of pocket

Re: sublimetal
To be honest no the quality is not that good in terms of coating and aluminium compared to ones i used to get from BMS and also there was a few that were larger as they overlapped the artwork.RogerC;48590 wrote:Out of interest are the cards/blanks any good? i'm really going off ebay now i thought about opening a store a few month back but there to many idiots selling to cheap to compete with by the time you pay all the fee's and you always get some customer trying their luck for a refund as they know ebay will give them their money back.
I've still not heard from them in terms of getting a refund for first batch which is strange as before that i was getting replies more or less instantly.
I thought i was nice buying a second lot when the first lot went missing any other person would of went else where.

Re: sublimetal
you have very little rights as a seller on ebay, you can't even leave negative comments about buyers even if they have been ap ain. I have only ever sold asa personal account but have had problems, one guy basically decided what i had sent was not as described so was happy to refund him once he sent it back, of course he never did and instead put in a complaint and ebay made me pay him back and blatently ignored by counter complaint about not recieving the item back. Never used it for selling since.

Re: sublimetal
As I've said before Ebay are very biased for the buyer and dont give a hoot for the seller BUT you will get far more exposure on EBAY than you will ever get from a website unless you throw a lot of money at it. Just use Ebay as an advertisement - its cheap when you look at it like that. Make sure you in your listings you put your email address (Savvy users will often go to the website from your email - unless you are stupid enough not to have a domain email address!!) Make sure you offer personal service and that a customer can call you to discuss any item - that way you can covert them to a non ebay sale!! If you open a basic shop and dont sell a thing you are probably going to spend £25 a month - what does that buy you with Google or a locla advert - bugger all!!
Yes I get wound up by ebay and I have been treated badly by them but if your service and product are good the only thing you are going to get caught out on is someone who is so thick you wont win anyway or someone trying it on. We generally can smell a rat with awkward customers and if it feels wrong we price it so they dont buy anyway.
A lot of businesses would disapper without EBAY probably us included
