Re: Cutter .. Cameo ?

Post by Kahboose »

Thinking of just going for the Cameo Cutter from BMS , Just wondering how easy it is to use it for weeding transfers for inkjet prints ?
Also i have a heatpress on order but will i need anything else to start vinyl printing on t-shirts ? for example software tools (obviously a weed tool) but anything else ?

cheers

The cameo is brilliant, not had a problem with it. Weedind is only as hard as you make it with your designs. It comes with a sticky carrier for when your cutting paper, cardboard etc.
It has a trace function so you can import an image and trace it easily to create the lines for cutting.

photoshop is not vector software. so for this you would need corelDraw, illustrator or free inkscape.

Iam sure standard cameo soft can do bit more then text and numbers ;)

I just played about with the software to get some good results - you basically select the area of the image you want to trace fiddle with a few different sliders and see what happens, you soon get a feel for how easily it can be done such as these ones.
