Calanders

coreldraw x5 has a calander macro thingy in it for making ....er.calanders !.

do any of you guys make them ?

whats the best paper/card to use ?
and where do you get the metal spring at the top from to make em ?

or is there an easier way to do them ?

was thinking about giving them away FREE to the local shops/business's to put on there walls for 2013....sort of free advertising for me....(less the cost of materials ect )

and NO....not the ones in the pic with the cats on them lol.....with my own logo and business description/pics ect

ah.....calander binders....could remember the dam name for them lol......and answered my own post.Just need to find out the type of card/paper used and we are cooking...sort of lol

Talk to your local printing shop. Most of them got it and will be able to help you .

done some calanders a few years ago all photos of places of intrest in our village, used A3+ paper from epson cant remember the name of it but it was £1 a sheet
got the binders from staples
turned out very expensive

Why not make a year to view calendar and sublimate it onto either a mug, mousemat or aluminium sheet with your details - bet it would be cheaper to make and would showcase what you could do - might even then get orders next year for a 2014 mug,mousemat or aluminium sheet :biggrin:

i,m leaning towards the one piece bit of card with the 12mth calander and details on it....work in a lot cheapers me thinks

I have a wire binding system, complete with the thumbhole punch and the D wire insert. It has a heap of wire binds of various sizes. £100 ?

I used to do calendars. I have a calendar punch/binder which punches the holes and the thumb slot in the middle at the same time. Works best for A3 calendars. I used to put thick card at the back and a transparent cover over the front. They looked quite good. The only trouble was finding decent enough paper (if using an inkjet printer, regular paper gets saturated by ink and one-sided photo paper doesn't look right).

I still have lots of parts here for it, but I haven't made any calendars for years. Maybe it's time I did some again? :biggrin:
