Re: late orders, slow suppliers.

just thought i would let you know my trials and tribulations trying to get started printing.
Didn't realise how un reliable these company are that sell the printing products.
Firstly q-tag promised delivery twice and failed now promised tomorrow we will see, nor very reliable will perhaps look elsewhere.
secondly ethic star sent three emails for prices no answer.
spoke to them said not received any so they sent me a link replied to that and still nothing so not dealing with them.
thirdly polo-shirts.co.uk advertised clearly they are the cheapest guaranteed and will refund the difference, on contacting them and saying i found a cheaper alternative and asked if i order will i get refunded , they asked who is the seller i replied ethic star immediately they said go with them, what about the guaranteed only if you qualify and buy obver five hundred, I replied there is no mention of this on your site, the phone went quiet ant they ignored me until they hung up " IS THIS NOT FALSE ADVERTISING". Wont be using these either!
Then dye sublimation suppliers constantly let down on two ordered products should be here today eventually.

Why do these company's take your order and money knowing they Haven't got the stock, very unprofessional.

I then have no confidence in these sort of places when im trying to start a small business and looking for supplies.

Rant over!

i have stopped dealing with "ethic star" found both them and their products unrealiable - they also are only a re-seller of a lot of products to bulk out their own products, poloshirts - think they are aimed at non professional businesses. you need a company like ralawise, BTC etc rather than these.

I notice you have not named the dye sub suppliers

If this is the case, rather and wait for suppliers to get it in, keep a certain level in and when you run low order again when you reach that level, top up, suppliers have to spend just like us and cannot always have in stock what we want. They too have cash flow problems and they have to order other suppliers that do in bulk and so on to the manufacturers . Its like a food chain and we are the end product and if you don't have it, they the customer which is our end of the chain go else. it is up to us to make sure we have it in and can fill their order. It might sound harsh but that's business

jennywren, i might be wrong, but i think pluggy is just trying to get his initial stock in as a new customer - rather than a seasoned buisiness running low stocks

yes i am just trying to get my stock to start with, i understand suppliers need to get their stock also but is it not mis representation to charge someone and take their money for an item they do not have.
Luckily have not started to trade yet but if a customer asked for something i told them to come back when i have the item an i cannot produce it they wouldn't be very happy and go somewhere else.

I didn't mean that you was taking money under false pretence. Starting is very hard, the suppliers that are on forum list, have a reasonable reputation. It might be best to start with them for your supplies. First questions you should asked when ordering is do you have it in stock. If not go down the list. You'll soon find a supplier that you like and meets your need. Hope you do well in your new venture. Jenny

I understand that, just trying to explain about stock, and how it works, I've not heard of those two suppliers he used, I just use the one that are on the list. It was finding this forum and being guided by the members on where to shop, how to do things and to build on the experiences. I was only try to help Sorrry
