Welsh slate?

Hi have a friend who is just started to sell natural welsh slate tiles. These are quite a source item here in Wales. Anyway I suggested to him we get together and I could either sell 4 Welsh slate coasters with a nice welsh mug or I could eventually find a way we could sublimate onto the coasters . What I would like to know IS THIS POSSIBLE and how would I go about doing it? Any ideas?

I use a company that does full sized welsh slate roof tiles with an image sublimated on it for my photography so definitly possible
